The Social Studies test is the simplest of the four GED tests. You have 70 minutes to answer about 35 questions. There are are no writing questions.
You need 145 points out of 200 to pass. To get 145 points, you need to do two things:
The T.T. SKILLS section explains the test-taking skills you need. The EXAMPLES section show you how to use the skills on questions just like ones on the test. The TOPICS section provides a few useful social studies skills.

- Answer 21 of the 35 questions correctly. (About 120 points)
- Finish the test and guess at any questions you can't answer. (About 25 points)
